This shows the carbon section butted to the NC. In the gap you can see the loops of kevlar pulled tight.
The shunt is the loop of wire hanging out.
Not shown is a hole on the opposite side which allows air to get into
the NC for barometric sensing. The hole
is drilled through the carbon tube just ahead of the film cannister.
