Description
Strain Gage Transducers removed from service - at great prices! We have a slug of these Taber Model 206A transducers in stock.
Pressure ranges in PSI are shown above, make a selection. These things are so sensitive and precise that even the 0-10,000 range transducer will accurately measure pressures down to 0.5 psi!
Power and signal connection port is Amphenol 9 pin connector, part number 67-02E149P. Unfortunately we don't have the mating connector but you can order it, see Alvatek link below. The pinout is shown above, click to enlarge the image to the right of the transducer. What most people are doing with this transducer is rolling their own connector by installing Amphenol pins then soldering leads to the appropriate pin. We are offering a pack of 4 pins, make the appropriate selection above. Sorry, they are not available separately.
Pinout is shown here. If you examine the connector you will see tiny little letters corresponding to the pinout, you might need a magnifying glass.
The pressure port is 7/16-20 JIC. An inexpensive adapter to 1/4NPT can be found at Grainger here.
Electrical connection is Amphenol Type MS3106-14-6S. The connection can be found at Alvatek here. Rather than use the Amphenol connector you can simply install the individual mating pins (you really only need 4) and solder the leads. Pot with silicone sealant or other RTV compound once complete.
Tested, but not calibrated - sensitivity and range, pin-out and excitation voltage all marked on label.
3 mV/V output / 10Vdc or 15VAC excitation.
A bargain for this sophisticated transducer

A critical issue to be aware of is pressure transducers and sudden impact loads or water hammer. This link takes you to another resource on the net dealing with this issue. For rocket motor testing the issue of water hammer is critical since a rapid increase in pressure can damage your transducer. Connecting the transducer to the motor via a length of tubing filled with grease will act as a snubber of sorts and help protect your transducer from damage.
